Lucky Stiff is a fast-paced, farcical musical comedy by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. The story follows Harry Witherspoon, a mild-mannered English shoe salesman who learns that he has inherited $6 million from his American uncle—on one condition: he must take his uncle’s embalmed body on a vacation to Monte Carlo, following very specific instructions, or the money goes to a dog charity.

As Harry embarks on this bizarre trip with the corpse in tow, he’s pursued by a host of eccentric characters, including a dog-loving representative from the charity and the uncle’s lover who wants the money for herself. Chaos, mistaken identities, and outrageous situations ensue, all set to a lively and witty score. At its heart, Lucky Stiff is a tale of unexpected adventure, self-discovery, and the ridiculous lengths people will go for money.
