THE WOMAN IN BLACK

THE WOMAN IN BLACK

October 18 – 27, 2024

A ghost story set in the shadowy English marsh country. Arthur Kipps, a lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him, engages a skeptical young actor to help him tell his terrifying story and exorcize the fear that grips his soul. While attending the funeral of an elderly recluse, he caught sight of the Woman in Black, the mere mention of whom terrifies the locals, for she is a specter who haunts the neighborhood where her child was accidentally killed.

A tour-de-force performance by two actors, this spine-tingling play about isolation, fear and the influence of the past will have you guessing, wondering and talking about it well after the curtain is drawn.

A Ghost Play by STEPHEN MALLATRATT based on the novel by SUSAN HILL
